Warp Speed Mister Scott, Warp Speed

James Doohan, aka Scotty from the orginal Star Trek series, died this morning in his home, he was 85 years old.

Doohan died of pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease at his home in Redmond, Washington, this morning according to his agent Steve Stevens.
His wife was with him. The actor also suffered from Parkinson's disease, diabetes and lung fibrosis and used a wheelchair.

Doohan played Lieutenant Commander Montgomery ``Scotty'' Scott, the Enterprise's chief engineer, on ``Star Trek,'' which ran on NBC network from 1966-1969.

More information about the life of James Doohan can be found at bloomberg.com.

I'll be playing a little "Amazing Grace" later to honor him.

Heh

I'm not as pro-gun as some of the guys that I know, but, ya gotta admit, there's a valid point to be made here...

The new Mustangs are Cramped

At least that's what my roomie, Tim² tells me.
It seems he's been doing some test driving the last couple of weeks.
He currently has a '99 Ford Mustang. The newer cars have narrower seats, and aren't as comfy as his current car.

Now Timmy is a pretty big kid, but he's also short. That doesn't bode well for someone my height I don't think. But, we'll see when the GT500 comes out.

The new Dodge Charger, on the other hand, is much roomier and offers somewhat similar performance. It's also much less expensive.

Gotta wait and see on that one also.

w00t!

Lego.com has a new toy out.
A 3 feet long, 2 feet wide Imerial Star Destroyer.
It even comes with a little Corellian Blockade Runner so you can re-enact the opening sequence from Star Wars 4: A New Hope.
